March is National Cerebral Palsy month, and green is the CP’s awareness color. Here are just a few ideas for helping us raise awareness (and money) for the forgotten disease:
- Paint your campus green! Think about ways to paint (or decorate) the Student Center, your fraternity / sorority house, your dorm or your room green. (Just make sure you get permission first.)
- Host a green party at home, work or school! Encourage everyone to wear green, ask for donations at the door, and sell green drinks and food – the theme is practically endless!
- Talk to your campus president, local officials and community leaders about illuminating a prominent building, bridge or landmark in green lights to raise awareness for Cerebral Palsy during the month of March.
- At one of you're school's sporting events, collect a percentage of ticket or concession sales to donate to the Make Lemon Aide Foundation.
