Our mission is defined by four key goals:
We won't stop until everyone knows about cerebral palsy (CP)
CP is known as the forgotten disability, because few people truly understand what it is and how it affects CP patients, their families, their friends, and everyone around them. It's our goal to make everyone aware of CP. As part of our efforts, we will continue to support the CP community and tell everyone how special they are. We will not let them be forgotten.
We won't stop until therapists are trained in the most effective techniques to help CP patients
Lauren has made amazing progress, in large part because of the Symptom Recovery Model Therapy Program advanced by First Step Physical Therapy. We want to train as many physical therapists as possible to administer this life-changing program, which is proven to help those who deal with CP on a daily basis.
We won't stop until there's a cure for CP
Through stem cell research, doctors and scientists believe that one day - hopefully in the near future - they may be able to find a cure for CP. We'd like to provide funding to leading-edge stem cell research that we think will have a significant impact.
